Who We Are

The Great Duke Education (The Great Duke Education Limited, company number 00000000) is the controller of personal information collected through this website. You can contact us at 92 High St, Cheltenham GL50 1EG, or office@tgde.uk. Our data protection lead is Margaret Holloway, Bursar.

What We Collect

When you complete an enquiry or visit form, we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, telephone number, country of residence, your child's first name, year of entry, boarding preference and anything you choose to tell us in your message.

Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use privacy-friendly analytics that do not set cookies or collect personal information. Our spam protection service, Cloudflare Turnstile, processes limited technical information to check that forms are completed by people rather than automated programs.

How and Why We Use It

  • To respond to your enquiry and arrange visits. Our lawful basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to families interested in the school.
  • To send you information about the school that you have asked for.
  • If your child later applies, your enquiry may form part of their admissions record, which is covered by our admissions privacy notice.

Who We Share It With

We do not sell your information or share it for marketing. Form submissions are delivered to the school by our email provider, Mailgun, and our website is hosted by Cloudflare. These providers act on our instructions and protect your information under contract.

How Long We Keep It

Enquiries that do not lead to an application are deleted after two years.

Your Rights

You have the right to access your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email office@tgde.uk.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
